FAQ

Solar Thermal - What are solar thermal systems?

Solar thermal systems harness the energy from sunshine to provide homeowners a supply of free hot water. The panels contain an anti-freeze mixture which once hot travels to a heat exchange coil in a hot water cylinder and transfers the heat. The heat is stored in the hot water cylinder ready for use. During summer months solar thermal systems can provide all daily hot water requirements but if its the case that the hot water is not hot enough an alternative heat source can then be used to make the water hotter.
