What's Included in a Service Visit?

Our fully qualified, MCS-certified engineers carry out a thorough inspection covering every aspect of your heat pump system.

Electrical Safety Check

Full inspection of electrical connections, wiring, and safety controls to ensure safe and compliant operation.

Refrigerant & Pressure Check

Checking refrigerant levels, system pressures, and flow/return temperatures to verify optimal performance.

Filter & Coil Cleaning

Cleaning or replacing filters, cleaning the evaporator coil, and removing debris to maintain airflow and efficiency.

Component Inspection

Visual and operational check of all key components including the compressor, fan, pump, expansion valve, and defrost cycle.

Controls & Thermostat Check

Verifying thermostat operation, controller settings, heating curves, and weather compensation calibration.

Written Service Report

A detailed written report with findings, recommendations, and confirmation of service for your warranty records.

Ground Source Heat Pumps: Services also include checks on the ground loop circuit — antifreeze concentration, flow/return temperatures, and loop pressure.

Don't Risk Your Warranty

Most heat pump manufacturers require an annual service by a qualified engineer to maintain your warranty. Missing a service could void your cover and leave you responsible for costly repairs.

Beyond warranty compliance, regular annual maintenance is the best way to ensure trouble-free operation and continuous comfort all year round. A well-maintained system runs more efficiently, lasts longer, and is far less likely to let you down when you need it most. Book your service on time — we'll even send you a reminder.

Important Information

Please read the following before booking your engineer visit.

Booking & Scheduling
  • All bookings are subject to engineer availability. We aim to schedule within 5 working days for standard services.
  • Emergency call-outs are subject to availability and may carry an additional out-of-hours surcharge.
  • You will receive a confirmed appointment window via email or phone ahead of your visit.
Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment to avoid charges.
  • Cancellations within 48 hours may incur an abortive visit fee.
  • If an engineer arrives and cannot gain access to the property or the system, the full call-out fee will apply.
  • You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of booking for service plans, provided the service has not yet been carried out.
Payment & Pricing
  • All prices shown are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be added at the current rate.
  • Payment is due upon completion of the work unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • Replacement parts will be quoted separately and require your approval before any work proceeds.
  • Travel is included within a standard service radius. Additional mileage charges may apply for remote locations.
Repairs & Guarantees
  • All repair work is covered by a 30-day workmanship guarantee from the date of completion.
  • Replacement parts carry the manufacturer's own warranty (typically 12 months).
  • If a new fault is identified during a routine service, additional charges may apply and will be quoted before proceeding.
Access & Safety Requirements
  • Please ensure clear, safe access to both the outdoor unit and indoor components before the engineer's arrival.
  • An adult (18+) must be present at the property throughout the visit.
  • If the engineer determines the working environment is unsafe, they reserve the right to halt work. The call-out fee will still apply.
  • Any pets must be secured and away from the work area.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I service my heat pump?

We recommend an annual service, ideally before winter. This is a requirement of most manufacturer warranties and helps catch small issues before they become expensive problems.

Which brands do you service?

We specialise in Ariston, Acond, and MasterTherm heat pump systems. If you have a different brand, please get in touch — we may be able to help on a case-by-case basis.

What's the difference between a service and a call-out?

An annual service is a planned, comprehensive maintenance visit to keep your system running efficiently. A call-out is a reactive visit to diagnose and resolve a specific fault or breakdown.

Are your engineers qualified?

All our engineers are MCS-certified, F-Gas qualified, and factory-trained by Ariston, Acond, and MasterTherm. They undergo regular professional development to stay up to date with the latest systems and best practices.

What areas do you cover?

We cover Wales and much of the UK. Travel is included within our standard service radius. For locations further afield, a small mileage charge may apply — we'll confirm this at the time of booking.

Would I be better off with a Comfort Care plan?

If you want to spread the cost and get priority service, the Comfort Care plan includes your annual service, priority scheduling, telephone support, and 25% off all repairs. Compare options here.
