Most domestic installations are permitted development when the Welsh conditions are met; non-domestic projects usually need a planning application. We establish the route for your proposal.
Grant help, handled with you.
You may qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme — we handle the application. Welsh and county schemes can help eligible households further.
Eligible air-to-water or ground-source heat pump installations receive £7,500. If your property has no mains gas connection and you are replacing oil or LPG heating, the grant is £9,000 for applications properly made from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027. We check eligibility for your home.

Will I need planning permission?
Usually not for a home — Welsh permitted development covers most domestic installations. Listed buildings, conservation areas and landscape designations can change that, and we check your exact address first.
Air source or ground source?
Air source is simpler; ground source rewards farms and smallholdings with land to spare. Heat demand, access and ground conditions decide — the survey settles which, with reasons.
Can a remote, off-gas home work well?
That's most of Ceredigion — and most of our work. Rural access, hot water, emitters and power are checked together, and replacing oil or LPG is where the savings are strongest.
What about older cottages and farmhouses?
Often a great fit. Fabric, moisture and heat loss get a proportionate review — no generic retrofit package, just what the building genuinely needs.
Can grants reduce the cost?
