You may qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme — we handle the application. The council lists local support too, though local grants can fill up fast.
Eligible air-to-water or ground-source heat pump installations receive £7,500. If your property has no mains gas connection and you are replacing oil or LPG heating, the grant is £9,000 for applications properly made from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027. We check eligibility for your home.

Can a heat pump work in an older Hereford home?
Yes — age isn't a pass-or-fail test. We measure heat loss room by room, check the radiators and fabric, and design for the building you have, timber frame and all.
Do I need planning permission?
Usually not — most installations are permitted development. Listed buildings and the county's 64 conservation areas can change that, and listed-building consent is a separate track. We check your exact address before anything starts.
Can I keep my existing radiators?
Often, yes. We measure each room's radiators at heat-pump temperatures — many homes keep most of them, some swap one or two.
Is ground source realistic here?
Very often — rural plots have the space, and the county's ground conditions suit collectors well. Our own rigs do the drilling, and the survey confirms access and sizing for your site.
Will it lower my bills?
Replacing oil or LPG, usually yes — and noticeably. We'll show you the comparison for your own house, tariff and fuel rather than a universal claim.
What happens after installation?
Commissioning and a proper handover — then annual servicing and Comfort Care support for as long as you want us looking after it.
