The Tywi Valley's alluvial and sandstone ground has given us some excellent collectors over the years. With land and rig access, our own drilling team puts in trenches or boreholes sized for your home — collector and system designed as one.
A river is context, not a licence.
The Tywi is beautiful — but lakes, rivers and groundwater only become heat sources once feasibility, ecology and Natural Resources Wales permissions are resolved. We know those routes, including our own lake-collector project one valley over.

Llandeilo is a designated conservation area — but that doesn't rule out a heat pump. It means the unit position, service routes and appearance get designed with the setting, early.

Home and business rules differ.
Most domestic installations are permitted development when the Welsh conditions are met; non-domestic projects usually need a planning application, and ground or water routes have their own rules. We identify the project-specific route early.
Grant help, handled with you.
You may qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme — we handle the application. Nest and Green Homes Wales can help eligible households further, and finance can spread the rest.
Eligible air-to-water or ground-source heat pump installations receive £7,500. If your property has no mains gas connection and you are replacing oil or LPG heating, the grant is £9,000 for applications properly made from 21 July 2026 to 31 March 2027. We check eligibility for your home.

Straight answers — the survey fills in the detail for your own house.
Will I need planning permission?
Usually not for a home — but Llandeilo's conservation-area status and any listing get checked for your exact address before anything starts. That check is part of every survey here.
Air source or ground source?
Air source is simpler; the valley floor's ground takes collectors well where there's land. Heat demand, access and ground conditions decide — the survey settles which, with reasons.
Can an off-gas farmhouse work well?
It's our speciality — we've installed in period farmhouses and country properties throughout the valley. Replacing oil is where the savings are strongest.
Could the river heat my home?
Only with the right permissions — water sources need NRW licences and real feasibility work. We've built a lake-collector system nearby, so we know exactly what's involved and we'll tell you honestly if it's not the route.
Can grants reduce the cost?
Most homeowners replacing a fossil-fuel boiler qualify for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, and we handle the application. We'll check Nest and Green Homes Wales eligibility with you too.
