SunampOur thermal heat storage systems enable you to store and transfer heat as a usable asset. We supply Sunamp thermal energy batteries which are available in a variety of sizes and which can also be connected in cascade systems and supplied on pallets and in shipping containers for industrial uses. These batteries have proven savings of up to 75% on energy bills and a lifespan of 40,000 cycles which is the equivalent of 50 years of use making them a great investment that's both economical and efficient. Compatible with a range of power sources from heat pumps and solar to traditional heating systems such as combi boilers - they have unlimited applications and scalability.






powerwallWe offer the Tesla PowerWall for electrical storage systems. Storing electricity offers many of the same benefits as heat storage but with one added extra - you can benefit from the Tesla tariff from Octopus Energy which offers the ability for you to export your surplus energy back to the grid and get paid to do so. The current Tesla tariff rates are:

  • 24/7 import rate of 8p / kWh for current Tesla vehicle owners and 11p / kWh for non-Tesla vehicle owners. The lowest flat rate tariff available in the market (as of October 2020)

  • 24/7 export rate of 8p / kWh for current Tesla vehicle owners and 11p / kWh for non-Tesla vehicle owners for any electricity you export - up to 100% more than the highest flat S.E.G. tariff on the market (as of October 2020)

Will a battery work with my existing panels?

Yes. If you already have solar panels, we can supply and fit a battery to your existing system.

Can I have more than one battery?

Most households only need one battery, however depending on your power requirements we can add more batteries to your system.

Where will the battery go?

The battery system is designed to be wall or ground mounted - and is usually installed in the loft of your home. For homes without a loft, the installer will be able to give you alternative options, such as the garage or under the stairs.

How long does installation take?

It will take Effective Home approximately 3-4 hours to install a battery to an existing solar panel system. To install solar panels and a battery, it will take us 1 day.

How much will a battery save me?

The benefits vary greatly from household to household, as everyone uses energy differently and at different times of the day. However, after completing a remote survey, we'll be able to provide you with a custom report showing your homes savings with a solar panel and battery system.
